Learn the story behind the name...

The story of Myarose Naturals began in 1999 with training my as a massage therapist.  Many years of seminars, classes and experience working with people of all ages and health conditions, has led me to my passion – working with pregnant women and families.  Myarose Naturals was truly born in 2011 with the birth of my daughter, Ella Rose when I combined my wellness business and hobby of making natural skincare.

It seemed only natural to name this business after the girls who inspired it: Mya, the vivacious preschooler and Ella Rose, my beautiful baby.  By creating a line of pure, natural products, I hope to limit the stress that their little bodies are under from toxic ingredients and allergens.  Through this business, other women may benefit from the natural solutions I have discovered.  Experiencing first hand the physical and emotional challenges pregnant women and new moms face has led me to personalize my wellness services to the needs of these these overburdened and  over-stressed women.  I hope that my experiences and my experience will assist me in helping provide these women with relief from the challenges they face.

Team

Erica Slykhouse is a passionate,  environmentally conscious wellness educator and massage therapist, practicing since 1999.  Erica has trained in a variety of wellness modalities which allow her to customize each session to the needs of her clients.  Erica is a new mom, a loving wife, an aspiring gardener and an outdoor enthusiast.  Her biggest challenge is balancing business and home life, enjoying time with friends and family while supporting her clients in finding more relief and enjoyment in their own lives. 

David is the resident comedian, assistant, shoulder to cry on, disciplinarian and jack of all trades.  It takes a strong man to tolerate 3 1/2 girls (1/2 is counting the dog), but he is the glue that holds us together.

Mya is the resident helper.  Her cheerful attitude and contagious giggle help keep us positive.  She loves to stir, measure and pour the soaps, then pick out the animal shapes for the molds.  She is happy as long as she’s wearing pink or sparkles.

Ella Rose is the inspiration for my business and my life.  Though just a baby, she is working hard already.  She is the guinea pig for the baby line, she critiques the selection and efficacy of baby bodywork services and is the constant reminder that learning is best done through experience.

Luna is the mascot of the team.  Watching over family and friends, she motivates us to get outside and enjoy the weather more often than we would otherwise remember to do.
